McCarthy that is a precursor to the singing cowboy genre. It stars Bob Steele in his second talkie film playing the lead role and singing, along with Rita Rey, Al St. John and Charles King as part of the film's cast. The quiet border town of Santa María has been invaded by a band of bandits who terrorize the peaceful inhabitants. The leader of this gang is called Black Diablo and he is the one who has captured Jimmy Henderson's father. This young cowboy finds out that his father was kidnapped and begins to develop a plan to get revenge on him. Jimmy poses as an outlaw called "El Ciclón", managing to integrate into Black Diablo's band of bandits and soon gains the trust of the gang. Jimmy discovers that the gang's boss, Black Diablo, is responsible for his father's death, so he plans to catch him and bring him to justice. In search of him he meets a young woman named Dorothy, who is also trying to help the law catch Black Diablo, so they begin to work together to end Black Diablo's criminal career. It stars Bob Steele, this being his second sound film, playing the lead role and singing.
